Park Ridge, NJ, February 2020
The Garden State Division held a membership event at the Fulton Friendship Lodge in Park Ridge, NJ on Leap Day, February 29, 2020. The event featured a Make-and-Take clinic in the morning with layout tours in the afternoon.
The Make-and-Take was a build of Mine Mount Models HO scale Skip's Bait and Tackle, led by the company's owner, Ron Klaiss. Photos are below.
There are also photos of two layouts by the Garden State Model Railway Club in North Haledon, NJ. The club is in the process of building a new layout. But, they also have another layout, fully sceniced. Pictures of both are shown here.
Hope, NJ, July 2019
The Garden State Division held a membership meeting at the Hope Community Center in Hope, NJ.
Two clinics were presented in the morning, a 3D printing clinic by Craig Bisgeier and a clinic on photography by Jim Walsh. The afternoon was filled with tours of layouts in the area.
Highline and John J. Harvey Fireboat, Manhattan, June 2019
GSD Member Mason Logie organized a tour of the Highline and John J. Harvey Fireboat in Manhattan for Garden State Division members in June 2019.
The morning began with a tour of the Highline on the lower west side of Manhattan and other areas of railroading history, lead by Mason. After lunch on the pier where the John J. Harvey is docked, everyone on the tour went for a cruise on the Hudson and East Rivers on the fireboat.
